We have an exciting opportunity to join our team!

We are looking for a cheesemaker to join our team at Sharpham in South Devon.

We make award winning soft and semi hard cheeses such as Sharpham Brie, Ticklemore and Rustic to traditional ‘handmade’ methods.

We pride ourselves on making the highest quality products, using milk from our own herd of Jersey cows, plus goat’s and sheep’s milk from nearby farms.

The successful candidate will be passionate about food and have an appetite to learn. You will have worked in food production or maybe in a catering kitchen and experience of cheese making will help but is not essential.

You will join a very experienced and hard-working team and you will be expected to work collaboratively and ‘muck in’ as and when necessary. The cheese making team is flexible and get involved in every stage of the process and there is lots of cleaning and washing up!

The position is full time and although we only make cheese during the week, there will be an expectation to share some weekend work turning cheeses. As well as competitive pay, we offer training, healthcare support and a profit related bonus.
