Homestead Farm is situated near Cheselbourne, Dorset. Farmed by Richard Hassket and family it supplies some of the goats’ milk for Sharpham Cheese.
Homestead Farm is a family-run goat dairy nestled in the heart of Cheselbourne on the Dorset Downs. Operated by the Haskett family, the farm has been part of the local agricultural landscape for more than a decade. Known for its high-welfare approach to goat farming, Homestead Farm produces the highest quality milk from its own herd of Anglo Nubian, British Toggenburg and British Sannan goats.
In 2020, we started trading with Richard when a couple of our Devon Goat's milk producers had stopped supplying, and Richard had lost some of his Dorset customers; thankfully, this meant we could carry on creating our delicious goat's cheeses throughout lockdown. We love their milk, so we have continued the relationship since then.
