How to Bake Sharpham Camembert

Baked Camembert is one of life’s simplest pleasures — molten, indulgent, and perfect for sharing. Sharpham Camembert’s rich Jersey milk and soft bloomy rind make it especially well‑suited to baking, turning beautifully oozy without losing its structure.

 Step‑by‑Step Baking Guide

1. Preheat your oven

  • Set your oven to 180°C (fan).
  • Remove the cheese from the fridge so it can warm slightly while the oven heats.

2. Prepare the cheese

  • Remove all packaging
  • Place the cheese into a ceramic dish (without the lid)
  • Score the top with a sharp knife in a criss‑cross pattern
This helps the heat penetrate and gives you that irresistible molten centre. At this point, you can add additional flavours; see options below in section 3.

3. Add flavour (optional but delicious)
Try one of these simple toppings:

  • A splash of wine or cider
  • A drizzle of honey
  • A spoonful of Sharpham Bramley Apple & Hunts Wobbler Cider Chutney
  • A few thyme sprigs or rosemary
  • Sliced garlic
  • Cracked black pepper

4. Bake
Place the dish on a baking tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the centre feels soft when gently pressed.

5. Serve immediately
Bring straight to the table and enjoy with:

  • Crusty bread or a warm baguette
  • Apple slices or grapes
  • Sharpham Charcuterie
  • Sharpham Sourdough Crackers
